- With Insurance:
- If you have insurance, the Center will bill your insurance company for the services you receive.
- You may still have to pay a co-pay, deductible, or coinsurance amount based on your insurance plan.
- With Insurance:
-
-
- Some services might not be covered by insurance, and in those cases, we may work with you to provide a lower-cost option or apply a sliding scale.
-
-
- Without Insurance:
-
-
- If you do not have insurance, the Center uses a sliding scale to determine how much you’ll pay, based on your income and family size.
- Some services may be offered at no cost, especially for individuals with very low or no income. These individuals would be required to have documents updated regularly (such as the Charity Care Assessment, Recovery Plan, and Texas Resilience and Recovery assessment) for ongoing coverage of outpatient services.
- Charity care is a program offered that provides free or discounted services to individuals who are unable to pay for their care due to financial hardship. Eligibility for charity care is typically based on income, family size, and other financial factors. The goal of charity care is to ensure that people, regardless of their ability to pay, can receive necessary medical or mental health services. This assistance is often available to those without insurance or those who face high medical costs.
-
-
- ***The Center strives to ensure that everyone, whether insured or not, can afford the mental health services they need.
11. What is the sliding scale, and how does it work?
-
- A sliding scale is a way to set costs based on how much someone can afford to pay. It means that people with lower incomes pay less, while those with higher incomes pay more.
